Diabetes and Birth Control: Part 1

Abstract

Many women will experience pregnancy in their lifetime.  However, not all women wish to get pregnant and those who do often want to wait until the time is right.  Birth control allows women this opportunity.  For women with diabetes, planning ahead is especially important.  With the knowledge of the different types of birth control available, women with diabetes can make informed decisions about their reproductive health and choose the best method available for them.

This article is Part One of a two-part series that discusses birth control options for women living with diabetes.
